Opposition Leader Anthony Albanese has to have the "campaign of his life" to get "back in the race," says Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell.

Mr Clennell said Labor is "hopeful for any sort of mistake" from Prime Minister Scott Morrison after the "horror week" produced by Anthony Albanese.

"Suddenly Anthony Albanese, by his own deeds, is an underdog," Mr Clennell told Sky News Australia.
