Australian baby formula company easing US shortage

Bubs Australia CEO and founder Kristy Carr says her company is proud to be supplying baby formula to the US to help overcome the product shortage.

“It’s really a crisis unfolding over there,” she told Sky News Business Editor Ross Greenwood. 

“We’re seeing empty shelves right across the country.

“Infant formula, once you’ve weaned off breast milk, is really a sole source of nutrition for babies up until solid food and even until they’re one year old."

Ms Carr said her company will continue to supply infant formula to the US and other international markets.

“The US is a very long-term strategic play for us as a business, and being able to be there for American consumers during this time will quickly build trust.”
