Car show helps raise money for Lexington Police Department

LEXINGTON, Ky (WTVQ)- If you’re keen on cool vehicles, Lexington’s Northeast Christian Church was once where to be Saturday.

That’s the place the Lexington Citizen Police Academy Alumni Association held its annual “Cool Cars and Cruisers” automotive display. The match raises cash for Lexington Police Department to do tasks in the neighborhood.

The display options greater than 100 vehicles, from antiques, to fashionable sizzling rods, or even some vintage police vehicles…

“It’s a great way to raise funds,and it’s so much fun,” stated Melanie Smyth of the Alumni Association. “How can you not walk around and look at some of these awesome cars and not have fun? So it’s a community thing and a get-together kind of thing too.”
