She started working for UN as a researcher and stayed for 7 years dealing mainly with youth and women development programs.
In 1991 she was posted to Prague and moved her young family there. This was during the time where Czech Slovakia became Czech Republic where they witnesses tanks crossing the streets and they had to queue up for food. Quite the experience for a young family.
She returned to Bangkok and started her entrepreneurial career from importing crystals to launching a pre-school with British curriculum in a time where there was hardly any to now owning the Laksasubha Resort.
She has a love for learning and follows her upbringing of being humble by staying curious, seeking to grow from others experiences and knowledge. This is what drives her to do more, try more and achieve more.
Biggest Challenge in the last year
Covid19 has been a major challenge. In business we were really challenges by how to push the business to survive and find the right strategy and keep positive for the staff. You got to be a very strong mentor and leader to get the team through something like this.
Advice to young entrepreneurs
She wants to encourage young female entrepreneurs to trust in yourself. Believe in what you do and do the best you can with what you love to do. Be very determined. If you say something, deliver and do it with passion. If you don’t have the answer, find it.
Her dream is to become a travel writer and a photographer. She loves the travel industry and becoming the Vice President of AustCham it has given her a lot of access into other businesses and a network of both local and international connections. Her dream is therefor to take time off to connect with more people through travel and use her artistic sense on the journey.
