Man in his 30s dies after being assaulted in Germantown, police say

A man is dead after police said he was assaulted in Louisville’s Germantown neighborhood. According to Louisville Metro police, they and EMS were called to the 1100 block of East St. Catherine Street around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday for an assault. They said the victim is in his late 30s. Police did not specify further about the assault.EMS tried to save his life at the scene, and police said he ultimately died at UofL Hospital.Now, LMPD’s Homicide Unit is investigating.
