Man in stable condition after bitten on face by dog at Upper Brookfield

A man has been bitten on the face while walking a dog in Brisbane’s west, with residents in the area urged not to approach the animal if it is spotted.

A man has been bitten on the face and residents in Brisbane’s west have been warned to be on alert for the dog responsible.

The Courier-Mail understands the man was bitten while walking the dog along Upper Brookfield Rd at Upper Brookfield about 9am.

Paramedics treated the man, who was familiar with the dog, and he was taken in a stable condition to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.

The dog ran from the scene, with police urging people not to approach it and to contact police immediately if they come across it.
