Mark McGowan deals blow to Perth Ashes Test

Western Australian Premier Mark McGowan has doubled down and reiterated if the Ashes were to be held in the state, it will be under strict quarantine regulations. 

WA Cricket Chief Executive Christina Matthews said the likelihood the Test match will be held in WA has dropped from 97 per cent to 50 per cent. 

Mr McGowan said not only cricket players but their support and broadcast staff would have to adhere to strict conditions, including 14 days quarantine.  

He also confirmed the players and staff members' partners would not be coming with them if they were to host the game in WA.
