Matt Kean questioned about state’s response to energy crisis

NSW Treasurer and Energy Minister Matt Kean has been wondered in regards to the state’s reaction to the power disaster via Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell.

When requested what the state govt is doing about energy costs, Mr Kean stated, “we are speaking to the energy companies to turn the coal-fired power stations back on”.

“If we’re putting more coal into the system at the moment and relying less on gas, that will bring downward pressure on prices,” Mr Kean advised Sky News Australia.

Mr Kean additionally stated the state govt is “supporting people will their bills” following the announcement of a “number of measures to provide rebates or financial assistance during this period”.
