Rich McCormick has won the Republican nomination for U.S. House in Georgia’s 6th Congressional District, according to the AP.

McCormick, an emergency room physician and Marine veteran, is the second Georgia congressional candidate of the night to defeat a Trump-backed opponent, beating Jake Evans. The first to do so tonight was Mike Collins, who finished ahead of Vernon Jones.
