Netball Australia Announce New Executive General Manager Of Commercial


etball Australia has announced the appointment of former AFL head of corporate revenue, Adam Richardson, as the organisation’s executive general manager – commercial, Suncorp Super Netball and Events.

Richardson will take over from David Lee, who had held the role in the interim position, but will now continue as head of commercial for the organisation, overseeing Netball Australia’s sales and sponsorship.

Announcing the appointment of Richardson, Netball Australia CEO, Kelly Ryan, said Richardson’s extensive commercial experience, which includes brokering some of the AFL’s largest corporate deals including the naming rights partnership for Marvel Stadium and Telstra’s digital rights extension, is a great fit for the organisation.

“Adam [Richardson] comes to Netball Australia with extensive commercial experience, but he is also acutely aware of what it takes to run a professional sporting league and other major events,” Ryan said.

“We are delighted to welcome Adam and his family to Netball Australia…

“I want to thank Dave [Lee] for acting in the role for the past nine months, especially during such a challenging period for sport.

“Dave has worked tirelessly to ensure the Suncorp Super Netball competition continued to run, whilst continuing to renew and generate revenue,” she said.

On his new position, Richardson said: “Netball is a spectacular sport with a clear and honourable purpose.”

“I am looking forward to collaborating with our fans, clubs, partners and stakeholders to enhance their experience with our sport.

“I believe in Kelly’s vision, and I am excited to be part of the team,” Richardson said.
