Owensboro unveils new electric public bus

OWENSBORO, Ky. (WEHT) – The town of Owensboro has a brand new means for folks to get round the town. The Owensboro Transit System published their first electrical bus on May 12.

The 35 foot bus can grasp as much as 62 folks and will probably be circled between routes when it begins its carrier in two weeks. The Director of Public Works believes the bus will lend a hand reduce down on gasoline and upkeep prices, in addition to cross as much as 200 miles on a unmarried price.

“We hope to see some maintenance savings. Obviously, it does not need diesel, so we should see a significant savings in that,” says Owensboro Director of Public Works Stephen Franklin.
