Former NATO chief General Sir Richard Shirreff says international support must continue to aid Ukraine in the face of “mass Russian onslaught.”
Mr Shirreff said any peace-keeping mission will have to be “equipped as if for war” especially as tensions grow in Ukraine.
“We’re seeing a Russian army that is bogged down, that has failed to meet its objectives, that has demonstrated incompetence,” he told Sky News Australia.
“What should not happen is a no-fly zone, particularly a no-fly zone from NATO. Because any form of no-fly zone is effectively an act of war.”
