There is ‘something seriously wrong’: fears carer pay rise could shut nursing homes

Sky News contributor Caleb Bond says the prospect of nursing home closures due to providers being forced to chip in for carer pay rises means “there is something seriously wrong”.

“We are talking about the quality of life of people who have paid their taxes all their lives,” he told Sky News host Jenna Clarke.

“The least they deserve is a decent standard of living in their last few years.”
