Travellers from southern Africa in federal quarantine amid Omicron

Travellers coming from southern African countries impacted by the Omicron variant are being housed in the Howard Springs quarantine facility, according to Prime Minister Scott Morrison.

“That 2000 space facility in the Northern Territory has been serving Australia extremely well,” Mr Morrison said.

“It’s enabled Australians to come home from all around the world.

“Now, those who are coming in facilitated flights out of Southern Africa – they have been accommodated there in those federally supported facilities.”
