Two Sierra Leonean players are set to miss Sunday’s African Cup of Nations clash against Cote d’Ivoire after testing positive for Covid-19.
The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) confirmed on Saturday that David Sesay and Osman Kakay have tested positive for Covid-19 in Cameroon.
The two will not be part of the national football team’s second Group E match against Cote d’Ivoire on Sunday, according to SLFA.
The two players have been isolated and are receiving medical attention, the association added.
Sierra Leone currently has one point after a draw with Algeria Tuesday.
