Proceeds will move to Ukrainian refugees and the relaxation for the continued conflict
JESSAMINE COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – The neighborhood in Jessamine County neighborhood is coming in combination to beef up the ones suffering from the continued warfare in Ukraine.
The Ukrainian Pentecostal Church held its 2nd bake sale Saturday with all proceeds going to conflict aid and refugees in Ukraine.
The line for the bake sale went out the door of the church for the selfmade conventional Ukrainian breads, pastries, truffles, and cookies. Organizers say greater than 100 girls volunteered their time to assist bake the meals bought, and other folks may just use Venmo, CashApp, or money to make a donation. A lunch that still supported efforts in Ukraine was once served.
Organizers say the development took the church a number of days to place in combination, and the entire church participated, announcing it is helping stay the congregation’s connection to the warfare individual, in particular for the kids.
“The majority of our people, I would say 99 percent even 100 percent of the people in our church have relatives in Ukraine, even coworkers. But the little kids haven’t been to Ukraine. But by participating in something they feel like they’re contributing to it and maybe even getting to know it a little more,” mentioned organizer Zoriana Selepina.
The church asks for persisted prayer for the continued warfare.
